Cleopatra is a sweet talking, outspoken scholar operating out of Old Sharlayan. While she’s been there quite some time, she was born in Ishgard.She spent the vast majority of her upbringing outcasted as the bastard child of an Elezen noble and a Hyuran prostitute. When she was a child, she was abandoned by her Hyuran mother in the Coerthan Central Highlands and taken in by a team of wandering Astrologians. She was promptly returned to Ishgard and left in the care of the church. She had no given name and was known only to the people as "Petit Soleil" due to her bright personality and cheery disposition.As a young woman, she showed a passion for the pursuit of knowledge. This much was obvious to the Archbishop, who's only plan for her up until this point was to keep her in servitude. In order to escape the Archbishop's control, she fled Ishgard and made for the mountains of Dravania, eventually settling in the Sharlayan Colony there. She took on a new name and a new identity as a student of astromancy and summoning magicks. Here, she discovered that she had been gifted with a rare talent to see into the past and listen to the voice of the star, allowing it to guide her in the right path. A gift referred to by her Sharlayn peers as "the Echo". When the threat of Garlean invasion reached Dravania, she fled with the rest of the colony back to the Sharlayan motherland.

CLEOPATRA earned her archon mark when she was only eighteen. A feat that earned her a seat amongst the Circle of Knowing and eventually as a Scion of the Seventh Dawn. Having been told throughout her time at Sharlayan that astromancy was the art of attuning one's aether to the movement of the stars. And yet, in her studies she found that Aether was not the only element capable of being manipulated through these means. Though she'd yet to uncover the reasoning behind it, she uncovered a means to use emotions to enhance her magic rather than raw energy. Thanks to the efforts of the Warrior of Light and the Scions, she now knows that this process is only possible due to Dynamis ... an element separate from Aether.

DUE to her ability to manipulate Dynamis through divination, Cleo is able to enhance and control the emotions of others. So long as she remains in control of her own.
